Wednesday, 25 August 2004 The day started with easy flight to Portoroz where I did all the customs duties. There we met with Flemming Pedersen who crossed the world with his Mooney as a first Danish pilot.
Now he lives in Switzerland from where he flew here to meet me. We had a nice conversation in the restaurant on Portoroz airport. Flemming helped me in many ways during the first flight around the world in CH-701 »Blue Lightning«.
Little before 3 o’clock I was soaring on the ridges between Nanos and Kovk above Ajdovscina when Ivo called me up and gave me the clearance to land on Ajdovscina airfield where a lot of journalists and aviation fans gathered. |
